EdCET Results 2014


A Common Entrance Test, designated as Education Common Entrance Test-2014 (Ed.CET-2014) will be conducted by the CONVENER, Ed.CET-2014, Department of Education, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education for admission into B.Ed. Regular Course in the Colleges of Education in Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2014-2015. 


Candidates eligible to appear for the Education Common Entrance Test (EdCET) 2014 can download the hal tickets from the websitewww.apedcet.org by entering their registration number and date of birth,  The test for admission into B.Ed. 


course will be conducted at 349 test centres in 42 cities and towns in Andhra Pradesh between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on May 30. The number of valid applications was 1,65,781, including 2,230 Urdu medium test, which will be held in Hyderabad and Kurnool. More number of girls, 97,139, than boys 68,642 have registered themselves for the test.



Two thirds of valid applications are from Osmania University area-1,11,742, followed by 31,638 from Andhra University area and 22,401 from Sri Venkateswara University area. Nearly half of the students have applied for the social studies methodology. 



Manabadi EdCET Results 2014: 

Qualifying Marks : 

The qualifying marks in the Entrance Test for all candidates (except SC/ST) is 37 out of total marks (i.e. 25%). For the candidates belonging to SC/ST communities there will be no qualifying marks for ranking. There will be no minimum qualifying marks for women in Physical Sciences /Mathematics methodologies. 


EdCET 2014 Ranking: Candidates will be ranked in each methodology in the order of merit on the basis of marks obtained in Ed.CET -2014 examination. Where there is a tie in total marks, Part-C marks will be taken into account to decide relative ranking. In case of further tie, the marks obtained in Part-A will be taken into account to decide relative ranking. 

In case of candidates getting equal marks in each of the parts of the test paper, they shall be bracketed for the purpose of award of rank. At the time of admission into the course, age shall be taken into consideration for relative ranking among the bracketed candidates and the older candidates shall be given priority. 



The rank obtained in Ed.CET-2014 is valid for entry into B.Ed. course for the academic year 2014-2015 only .
