AUCET Counselling Dates 2014

Andhra University Common Entrance Tests (AUCET) 2014 for admission into university’s PG programmes and AU Engineering Entrance Test (AUEET) 2014 for admissions into five-year integrated dual degree programmes in engineering and arts commenced on Saturday at 16 centres here and in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Bhimavaram, Vijayawada, Guntur and Amalapuram.

Attendance on the first day for tests in life sciences subjects and humanities and social sciences subjects along with the five-year dual degree programmes held on the first day was 87 per cent, Director of AU Directorate of Admissions O. Aniel Kumar informed. Attendance was 4,741 out of 5,471 candidates registered for the tests in life sciences; 5,432 out of 6,206 in humanities and social sciences and 4,162 out of 4,691 in the five-year integrated dual degree programmes.

Admission without test

Admissions into some courses will be made without admission test, on the basis of marks scored by candidates in the qualifying degree examination. The candidates will be called for interview directly. Such courses are M.Sc. in geography (BA/B.Sc. stream); M.Tech. in atmospheric science, ocean sciences and petroleum exploration and production; M.A. in Sanskrit, Hindi, dance, music, quantitative economics, women studies; M.P.Ed ; B.F.A.; M.F.A.; M.Ed. in special education and PGDCRS and the five-year integrated courses of B.Sc. plus M.Sc. in geology and B.A. plus M.A. in economics.
