AP 10th/SSC Adv.Supplementary Time Table 2014

Andhra Pradesh, Telangana States SSC/10th supplementary exams would be held from June 16 to 28, 2014. The last date for payment of fee is May 30. Candidates can apply for re-verification-cum-supply of photocopies of answer books paying Rs.1,000 per subject, for 12 days from the date of release of results. The last SSC results of a unified Andhra Pradesh State saw a slight increase with 88.62 per cent of students clearing the SSC exams, compared to 88.08 per cent last year.

The bad news is that the number of schools securing zero per cent results rose to 14 compared to just three last year. In all, 77 schools secured zero per cent results, a massive rise compared to last year’s 11. As expected, girls’ pass percentage was higher at 89.33, while it was 87.96 per cent among boys. East Godavari district topped with a pass percentage of 96.26 per cent, followed by Kadapa that registered 95.14 per cent. Adilabad district figured at the bottom with 58.31 per cent pass. Performance of students of different categories was also high this year. Among Other Category (OC) students, pass percentage was 90.71 per cent, followed by Backward Classes (89.44), Scheduled Tribes (85.45) and Scheduled Castes (84.66).

5,784 schools secured 100 per cent passes this year, way above the 4,326 schools last year. Government schools performed better in this category with 326 schools getting 100 per cent results, as against 172 last year. Zilla Parishad schools, the number went up to 1,613 from 1,103 last year. However, the number of 100 per cent results schools went down among the AP Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (APSWREIS) from 95 last year, to 59 this year. Of the 10.61 lakh students, only 4,085 secured 10 Grade Point Average (GPA), with the highest being from Guntur followed by Ranga Reddy district. Only 13 students from government schools could secure a 10-pointer as against 3,784 from private schools.
