NTR Health University PGMET Results 2014

The NTR University of Health Sciences has decided to re-conduct the Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test (PGMET) on April 27. Around 15,000 students are expected to attend the re-test.  The re-examination for Andhra Pradesh PGMET-2014 for entry into PG medical courses will be held on April 27, 2014.  The earlier examination that was held on March 2, was cancelled due to irregularities and alleged leak of question papers. The re-examination will be held for the 15,000 odd students on April 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Those who applied for the previous test need not to apply again. All candidates would have to download from April 21st fresh hall tickets from the university website www.ntruhs.ac.in. Fresh applicants will also get an opportunity to write the test. The exam would be held from 10 am to 1 pm and a detailed notification would be placed on the university website on Saturday. The results would be announced within 10 days after the test and every care would be taken to keep the test controversy-free.

The university is planning to conduct the counselling for admissions in June. More than two weeks after one of the biggest PG medical entrance examination (PGMET) scams came to light, governor ESL Narasimhan cancelled the examination and ordered a fresh test after a police investigation confirmed a leak of the question paper.

The students who had earlier applied for the examination need not apply again but have to download their new hall tickets from the university’s website. students need to apply fresh. The new schedule for the re-examination will be displayed on the website from April 5th, 2014 onwards. But this year, NTRUHS announced the date for PGMET re-examination as April 27, and the last date for withdrawal from Manipal is April 21. If a student cancels seat before April 21, they will get back the fee in full. Beyond that date they will have to forgo 50 per cent of the fee amount.
