Maha TET 2013 Online Application

Maharashtra State Teachers' Eligibility Test (TET) will be held on December 15, the Maharashtra State Council of Examination announced.    Candidates appearing for the test will have to complete an online application process which will begin from October 20th, 2013. In March this year, the state government made it mandatory for diploma in education (DEd) holders or those pursuing a bachelor's in education (BEd) and aspiring to become teachers to clear TET, which will be treated as a licentiate exam. The state government said that the test would help filter the best candidates from the rest and that public and private schools will be allowed to recruit only those teachers who have cleared the test.

Important Dates: 
Online Application Start from                         : October 20th, 2013
Online Application Last Date                         : November 11th, 2013
Entrance Exam on                                 : December 15th, 2013

The council said in its notification that the online application process will start at 9am on October 20 on its website The last date for filing the application is November 11. Candidates will have to register online, upload a scanned photograph and signature, update the challan and print the admit card.

The test would consist of two papers with multiple choice questions and will not have negative marking. Paper I will be for teaching positions in Class I to V and Paper II will be for teaching positions in Class VI to VIII. There are a total of 3,38,658 sanctioned posts in the state, of which 32,746 are vacant.
