Andhra Pradesh Government, Board of Secondary Education, Hyderabad, Decided Conduct of Teacher Eligibility Test 2013 on September 1st, 2013. Online applications are invited from candidates who intend to be teachers for classes I to VIII in schools in Andhra Pradesh for appearance in the third Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET 2013) to be conducted by Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday, 1st, Sep, 2013. Online Application Start from 15th to 31st July, 2013. We are Provide APTET 2013 Notification, Online Application, Syllabus, Model Papers, Hall Tickets and Results. APTET 2013 Details also available at http://aptet.cgg.gov.in. 


A person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII. It had been inter alia provided that one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools referred to in the RTE Act is that  should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE.

Eligibility: 

For Classes I-V: for candidates already in possession of Respective Teacher Education Certificates or pursuing final year of respective Teacher Education Course during 2012-2013 or earlier:


Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and pass in or pursuing final year of 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education 

OR 

Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursuing final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) 

OR 

Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursuing final year of 2 - year Diploma in Education (Special Education)




For Classes VI-VIII for candidates already in possession of Respective Teacher Education Certificates or pursuing final year of Respective Teacher Education Course during 2011-2012 or earlier: i. B.A. / B.Sc./B.Com and pass in or pursuing final year of 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education. 

OR 

B.A. /B.Sc./B.Com pass with at least 45% marks and pass in or pursuing 1 - year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) Course.

OR 

B.A. / B.Sc./B.Com pass with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursuing 1- year B.Ed. (Special Education)* Course. OR Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursuing final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) Course. 

OR 

Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursuing final year of 4-year B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed Course.



The candidates who did not qualify in the 1st and 2nd, 3rd APTETs can also apply for the forth APTET. Further, the candidates who got qualified in the earlier APTET can also apply for 4th APTET if they desire improvement over their previous TET score. 


Two Papers: 
The test (APTET) will be conducted in 2 papers viz. Paper-I and Paper-II. The candidates who intend to be teachers for classes I to V have to appear for Paper-I and the candidates intending to be teachers for classes VI to VIII have to appear for Paper- II. The candidates who intend to be teachers for all classes from I to VIII can appear for both papers, Paper-I and Paper-II.

  3. Please confirm the TET Examination date is it 22 nd AUG or 25th Aug ?. And also
    Can you please let me know if the syllabus is changed or not?
