EdCET 2013 Key

Andhra Pradesh Bachelor of Education Common Entrance Test (Ed.CET 2013) Conduct on June 3rd, 2013. Around one lakh Candidates are applied this exam. Qualifying Marks:- 
The qualifying marks in the Entrance Test for all candidates (except SC/ST) is 37 out of total marks (i.e. 25%). For the candidates belonging to SC/ST communities there will be no qualifying marks for ranking. There will be no minimum qualifying marks for women in Physical Sciences/Mathematics methodologies.

Candidates will be ranked in each methodology in the order of merit on the basis of marks obtained in Ed.CET-2013 examination.

Where there is a tie in total marks, Part-C marks will be taken into account to decide relative ranking. In case of further tie, the marks obtained in Part-A will be taken into account to decide relative ranking.

In case of candidates getting equal marks in each of the parts of the test paper, they shall be bracketed for the purpose of award of rank. At the time of admission into the course, age shall be taken into consideration for relative ranking among the bracketed candidates and the older candidates shall be given priority.

The rank obtained in Ed.CET-2013 is valid for entry into B.Ed. course for the academic year 2013-2014 only.  

Education Common Entrance Test (Edcet-2013) for admission into BEd courses scheduled to be held at 287 centres across the state on June 3rd, Monday, Total 1.47 lakh candidates will be appearing this exam.  

The number of aspirants appearing for Edcet has shown a decline compared to last year when 1.52 candidates took the test. The test will be held between 11am and 1pm. It includes a paper of 150 marks with two sections. The first section of 50 marks is common to all candidates and includes 25 marks for general English, 15 marks for general knowledge and 10 for teaching aptitude.

The second section is of 100 marks and is subject specific for candidates who have opted for math, physical science, biological science, social studies and English, depending on the graduation degree of the candidates. 

That there are 612 colleges and 65,000 seats available under Edcet-2013.  Candidates will have to use HB pencil for marking answers on the OMR sheets.
