JEE Main Answer Key 2013


Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other centrally funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by several participating State Governments, and several other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/Intermediate Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). The Paper-1 of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.

Joint Engineering Entrance Examination Main conducted on Sunday April 7th, 2013. Over 14 lakh engineering and architecture aspirants have registered for the entrance test. 

11.5 lakh aspirants Last year the test conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. Appearing for the JEE Advanced as only the top 1.5 lakh candidates in the merit list of the 14 lakh will be eligible for the advanced exam. 

While the offline (pen and paper) exam will be conducted on Sunday, the computer-based exam introduced last year will be conducted on April 9, 22, 23 and 25. 


Rank list for admission to B.E/B.Tech(in institutions other than IITs)
* Resolution by marks obtained in Mathematics in JEE (Main) – 2013.
Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
* Resolution by marks obtained in Physics in the JEE (Main) – 2013.
Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
* Resolution by total normalised qualifying exam marks. Candidate
obtaining higher normalised marks will be given better rank.
* Resolution by finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks.
Candidate having higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank.
* If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates will be given the same rank.
